Inexpensive Wedding Invitations
Congratulations on your engagement! So you have set a date, decided what sort of wedding you want and who you want there. The next step would be to invite them!
Of course as anything to do with weddings, even the invitations can be pricey, especially when you think of how many you will need to send out. But before you start signing up to companies which can sell them in bulk for a good few $100, think of some of the cheaper options. Here are a few ways to get inexpensive wedding invitations that aren't too difficult.
DIY! - Have you got a creative streak in you? Or know someone else who does? Why don't you have a go at it yourself. The advantages of this being that the invitations can be as personal as you like. You can choose the colour, material, photos, font and anything else you can think of to add on! Obviously this could end up as expensive as buying from wedding companies but it all depends on what you have in your invitation. Remember that simple = less expensive. Perhaps if you do have a friend/family who you feel would be suitable to make them then ask them for this to be your wedding present.
Email - This has got to be the cheapest option (assuming you have internet connection already). You can send email invitations to everybody at the same time and not know they won't get lost in the mail. You save money on stamps (and a sore tongue!) Of course you may not feel they are as personal as hand invitations are but just because they are electronic doesn't mean you can't add some colour and decorations to the invites. You may need to think about those without internet or email, particularly the older generation and consider another method of inviting them.
Internet shopping - If you look around online you'll find some great deals for wedding invitations. Just type in what you're looking for in the search engine and you're good to go. There are loads of different options available using this method although not all of them will be cheap. You'll probably have to do a bit of shopping around if you're to find the best deals but when you do you'll be happy ou put the effort in! Don't be put off by the lack of inexpensive wedding invitations on the internet to begin with as if you look hard enough you'll find them.
